Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous for the films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work, including an Oscar. Her career in acting started on Broadway through a myriad of Broadway and Off Broadway projects. From her early years she's always been enthusiastic about performing. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school play. She became deaf in one ear following a bout of the mumps virus, however she did not allow this handicap to hinder the determination of her to become an actor. She studied drama at college, and then moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her dream. Hunter was introduced to Beth Henley by chance in the lift. They wrote together Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came in the role of an actress playing the leading character Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in a number of films, TV series and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
